Encounters with indigenous poetics: creations between words, images and sounds

Abstract

How to receive and let ourselves be crossed by the knowledge, arts and worldviews of Amerindian peoples? How to open up many other possible worlds in this world, through the art of encounter in difference? The project foresees the encounter with contemporary artistic productions of indigenous artists and communities in cinema, literature and visual arts, understanding indigenous art as an intercessor of thought. The research brings together image studies (photography, cinema and visual arts), contemporary philosophy and education and seeks conceptual detachments from the encounter with indigenous poetics in order to create folds in the concepts of image, art and education. The research is done through studies of works, as well as the realization of workshops of collective experimentation with images, words and sounds from literary, cinematographic and visual arts works.
